Youth Services

No child deserves to be defined by a diagnosis. Whatever the issue that brings a child to Salina West, it is but a part of the individual. Lasting healing occurs when we meet the needs of the whole person – psychologically, emotionally, physically, and spiritually. That’s why we use an array of activities and therapies to support traditional individual, group, and family therapy:

Professional Staff

At Salina West, we focus our treatment on the person, providing individualized care that is both comprehensive and compassionate. Each child’s interdisciplinary Treatment Team offers the most effective means of implementing and evaluating treatment for young people dealing with trauma.

The Treatment Team includes:

  • The Child
  • The Family
  • A Medical Director (Psychiatrist) and/or Psychiatric APRN
  • Social workers
  • A Registered nurse
  • A Psychologist
  • The Director of Clinical Services
  • Therapists
  • An Education counselor
  • Primary counselors
  • A Substance abuse counselor
  • Other professionals that have treated the child prior to admission or will treat upon discharge
